On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, first-year law students from the College of Law undertook a scientific field visit to the Directorate of Shelter and Women's Affairs in Duhok. The visit was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Nouzat Jumaa. 

The purpose of this scientific visit was to enable students to become more familiar with the practical aspects of the subject Criminology and Punishment. Through the visit, students had the opportunity to connect their academic knowledge with real-world applications, gaining deeper insights into crime and justice systems. 

During this visit, the students explored all departments of the Shelter and Women's Affairs Directorate, gaining firsthand knowledge about its operations. A seminar was also organized for them, providing valuable insights into the directorate's roles and functions. Moreover, the students visited the cafeteria, library, and the rehabilitation hospital within the shelter, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of its various facilities and services.
